Cheering yourself up on a bad day (Tips!)
Cheering yourself up on a bad day-

Sometimes you get home from school and it’s like you haven’t had the chance to let out a breath all day, between the crowds in the halls and the non-stop work and then the embarrassing accident at lunch, and then awkwardly calling your teacher ‘dad’ only to get home and find out you’ve had nutella around your mouth all day- all you really need is to be cheered up.
1. Get your PJ’s on; this is especially great when it’s winter and it’s been raining/snowing. If you want, put them on a heater or radiator so that they’re super snug when you put them on!

2. Grab all your favourite movies- old Disney favourites are perfect for this- or you could watch comedies like:
-The Hangover
-The Proposal
-Bridget Jones’s Diary
-The Holiday
-Matilda
-Easy A
-Borat/Bruno
-Mean Girls
-Christmas movies (Elf, The Santa Clause, Christmas in Wonderland…) if it’s close to Christmas
-Halloween Movies (Hocus Pocus, A Simple Wish, The Nightmare Before Christmas) if it’s close to Halloween
-Anything cheerful, but be sure to stay away from anything deep or sad :(

3. Get a tub of ice-cream out, a few cookies, pop some popcorn or maybe even make a few muffins/cupcakes. For a healthier option make yourself a fruit salad with all your favourite fruits in! Make yourself a big mug of hot chocolate, add marshmallows and squirty cream.

4. Ask you mom/dad/brothers/sisters/friends to watch them with you- if they're busy then you could always just cuddle up to an old teddy!

5. Turn all the lights down, get a really warm blanket and get cozy, making sure you laugh until you have a six pack!!

Tips: The perfect Alice in Wonderland outfit
Ok, so firstly, you're going to need:
-A dress (preferably blue but it doesn't need to be, any length or style)
-A blonde wig (no need if you already have long blonde hair)
-A blue strip of ribbon, roughly 50cm long and 1cm wide
-A white apron (you can get these really cheaply at supermarkets etc.)
-Lace trimmings (you can get these in haberdashery stores or in department stores)
-A pair of blue or plain black shoes (flats/heels are best, but trainers or sneakers like converse or vans won’t look right)
-A fairy long strip of material that will tie around your waist- best if it’s blue
-Optional- a detachable Peter Pan collar

The Dress:
Get your blue dress and make sure you neatly cut it to the length you want (anything above the knee). Next turn your dress inside out, so all the seams are visible and sew in your lace trimming on the bottom of your dress, so the lace is peeping out of the bottom. If you want to, you can do this to the sleeves if you have ones. If you have chosen to add a Peter Pan collar, make sure the neckline is high enough otherwise it won’t work.
After your blue dress is sorted get your apron, find the waistline of your dress and tie the strip of material around your waist. Tie in a bow on the back of your dress (or get someone else to tie it for you!) in one really big bow!

Hair/wig:
If you have blonde, long hair yourself then straighten or curl it. Whichever one you chose you have to do it to the extreme, this won’t work if you just have your hair natural. If you chose to straighten it, then it needs to be poker straight and preferably flat, and if you chose to curl it, they need to be real ringlets.
If you chose to wear a wig then it needs to be as the hair above was described, and blonde.
After this you can get to work on your headband. Use the length of ribbon and place it underneath the back of your hair (see that it is resting on the bottom on your head/back of neck) evenly, so that it is the same length on either side of your head. Tie it in a large, elaborated bow on the centre of your head. Make sure that there are still some bits of hair in front of the bow, if you have a fringe make sure all of it is in front of the bow.
That’s it for the outfit; hopefully I’ll be adding a make-up extra to this too! Hope you liked it, please reblog and like, it would like, mean so much! Anyways, I bet you all look amazing as Alice in Wonderland, please submit any photos, or send us a message and we’ll reblog the image of your outfit. This is perfect for Halloween.

Tips: Having the best sleepovers/slumber parties
The best sleepovers aren't completely planned but here's some tips to make yours more exciting, xo.

Invites:
1. Make sure you have a good guest list, and make sure there is a fair amount, if an odd number of people will be there, then someone will probably be left out, even if it isn’t on purpose. (Depending on how big your bedroom is) if you’re inviting 5+ then it’ll be best to have it in a sitting area or lounge and just bring your own duvets.
2. Try to invite people that get along, there is nothing worse than tension at your sleepover.

Decorating:

1. Chose the area you’ll be sleeping in and make sure it has a TV in it and that you’re allowed food in there. Cover the floor in duvets, pillows and blankets- just make it super comfy in general.
2. Wring fairy lights around any shelves or surfaces and turn on lamps (lava lamps are perfect for this!) and make it the right light so that you can still see but it’s still fun.

Food & Drink:

1. For food, get big bowls and fill them with crisps, popcorn, cookies, chocolate and sweets (or for a healthy option- fruit) and set them around the room, do the same with plates of cakes, pop tarts and sandwiches.
2. Order (or make) pizza/sushi/Chinese/Indian.
3. For drinks go for fizzy drinks like Coca-Cola, Sprite, Lilt etc. or make your own smoothies or milkshakes!
4. Ice-cream! It’s an essential. Try different toppings and sauces.

Activities:

1. Watch movies!
2. Do each other’s nails, make-up or face masks
3. Go on chat roulette/omegle and laugh at all the strange people you come across
4. Play the ‘rating’ or ‘who will’ game (these games are basically where everyone has their own piece of paper and the same colour pen, and you pass the paper around, rating everyone out of ten for their features- this can also cause arguments if you’re with really touchy people. The ‘who will’ game is where everyone sits in a circle and someone asks a questions e.g. ‘who will marry the last?’ and each person writes who they think it will be on a scrap of paper and put it in the middle then read them out at the end.
5. Play truth or dare.
6. Play fluffy bunnies (place marshmallows in your mouth and see how many you can get in before you can no longer say ‘fluffy bunnies’)
7. Rock out to cool music
8. Take tons of weird photos

Movies/TV:

1. Get box sets of your favourite series, like Gossip Girl, 90210, The Big Bang Theory, CSI, Skins, The Middle, and Desperate Housewives.
2. Romantic Comedies, comedies, party movies, horrors… The best one I’ve come up with are-
Mean Girls, The Woman in Black, Juno, Hide and Seek, Dear John, The Last Song, Sweeney Todd, Superbad, Project X, Fright Night, The Vow, Demons Never Die, Chronicle, St. Trinians, Wild Child

Have a great time!
